Meet Kahra
Kahra Strumar is a versatile piano instructor with a Master of Arts Degree in Piano Pedagogy from California State University, Fullerton and an active member of the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC) Diamond Bar Branch.
She has helped students skillfully in piano performance and music theory for over ten years.
She is a disciplined and resourceful instructor who provides a balanced mix of Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary learning musical syles.
She offers lessons to charter schools.
She also teaches modern piano music from cartoon TV shows/movies and animated TV shows/movies.
Kahra`s Experience
Completed the Certificate of Merit (CM) Level 8 exam with Honors in 2015.
Completed Master of Arts Degree in Piano Pedagogy from California State University, Fullerton.
Graduated from Whittier College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and a Minor in Business Administration and Chinese language.

Kahra`s Teaching Style
Kahra teaches individuals in a fun and relaxed environment and is skilled in exposing students to technique, sight-reading, music theory principles, repertoires, and ear training. She combines her music knowledge, enthusiasm, and an intuitive sense of tailoring each lesson to fit the student's needs.
She emphasizes the importance of family involvement in the teaching process. She feels that a good relationship between parent, teacher, and student is significant for healthy musical development.
She is comfortable teaching students from age 4 & Up all across the United States including those with hearing impairment, ADHD, autism, and dyslexia.
She offers in-person lessons and live online lessons via Zoom or Google Meet.

★ Preparing students for auditions, recitals, solo performances, competitions, applying for music scholarships, college admittance auditions, and school events.
★ Qualified to teach Certificate of Merit (CM) Program exams, which encompass a comprehensive system of music study and assessment from Elementary to Advanced levels.
★ Train students in piano practicing skills, incorporating time management.
★ Apply active teaching techniques such as physical and mental game activities and exercise tools.
★ Teaching students from age 4 and up all across the United States including students with hearing impairment, ADHD, autism, and dyslexia.
★ Annual recital at the end of the school year.
★ One or two workshop performances each year.

Teaching Methods: In-studio Lessons, Online Lessons, Hybrid Lessons, Student's Home Lessons (plus traveling fee),
All lessons are anywhere from 30 minutes up to 60 minutes
Lessons can be done on a lesson-by-lesson basis or you can sign up for a month at a time
Beginner Level

$160 per month for a 30-minute weekly lesson
$200 per month for a 5 week month

Recommended for students ages 4 to 8 or for beginners. Lesson usually once a week, some students choose this option twice a week.
Intermediate Level

$240 per month for a 45-minute weekly lesson
$300 per month for a 5 week month

Recommended for students ages 9 and up. This gives us more time to go over the students' assignments and work on the pieces that the students would like to learn.
Intermediate Plus to Advanced Level
